  • Depends on your age. Usually HS students get about $5-7/hr and College students and beyond get about $10/hr

  • I would ask what the going rates are for similar care in your area. There are so many different factors to consider - full-time or part-time, your home or somewhere else, days or nights & week-ends, teenager or older, lots of children or just yours, meals provided or not, educational curiculum or just basic care. I pay $120/week for each baby for full-time daycare in a daycare facility, which works out to less than $3/hr for each. I pay a college girl $9 - $10/hr to watch my twins on the week-end in my home. My cousin pays a lady $100/week to watch her baby with a few others in the lady's home. These are about average rates where I live, but it could be very different where you live.

  • I pay my sitter about $30 a night and make sure they are cpr certified and have great references. I also usually buy them a pizza or something.

  • If you are certified you'll probably get more. And it depends on what kind of babysitting you are talking about. If your talking about daily while parents work it should be a little more. But if its like weekends when your avalible so parents can have a break its probably going to be a little less. If someone was certified and watching my child and only my child at my house for lets say 5 hours... I would give them 30 dollars and 3 out of the four hours my child would be sleeping anyways lol.
