Best magazine subscription for a 3 year old?

I'm looking to get my son started on a good magazine. The two that jumped out so far are High 5 (Highlights) and Big Backyard (but we don't have one). I'm also wondering where the best place to order them from would be, at the loest price. Suggestions would be much appreciated :) Thanks!

  • Highlights rocks!! It might be a tad too old though? What about Sesamee Street?

  • We have three kids subscriptions in our house: High 5, Your Big Backyard, and Animal Babies. *Technically* only Animal Babies is in my 3yos name, but all three are great for her! She loves reading them, and can do the activities in all of them.

At age three, I would go with High 5 or YBB, just because they will grow more with them. They are accessible enough that he can enjoy them now, but he will be able to enjoy it for a few years before switching up - maybe even rereading older magazines.

I have heard great things about the National Geographic Kids magazine, too, but I haven't read it/don't subscribe so I can't speak from personal experience. A good friend does subscribe to it for her 3yo.
