Okay Ladies I am searching for answers on CARE Packages....

Okay, i know in the beginning Care Packages were 100% appreciated, but now i know with the AAFES Facilities over there, they can get there hands on almost anything. (i'm assuming) Can Anyone share with me What can be sent being Creative, and If Husbands are home from deployment can share what lacks, or sells out anything that can help me send care packages... Our First TOUR, I would appreciate any ideas, and help with this...... Thanks In Advance

  • My hubby said not to forget stuff like shaving cream, razors, deodorant. Said that it took him three weeks to get stuff like that.

  • My fiancee works for a major gum company so we get garbage bags full of gum all the time and we send the extras over seas and to local food pantries. Gum and candy seem to always be wanted. Also I think cards and personal letters just saying how much they are appreciated are also good ideas. Every person on the planet loves to be told they are loved yanno? Also pictures of America that they don't see there maybe...like green grass, running rivers, kids playing at parks, you get the drift-stuff they don't get to see.

  • My dh always asked for candy, gum, toilet paper, magazines, cds, dvd's, underware, socks, foot powder. Lots of things that boyer94 listed! I know he was able to get different things in different places (my dh moved around a lot) so if he's able to contact you once he's there, he might be able to give you a better idea of what he has access to easily and what he doesn't.
