  • I worked on Christmas Eve last year. It SUCKED SO BAD.

  • Most working people do not get a Christmas break. My husband has Christmas day off, but he's taking Christmas eve and the day after off as well. He already does not work weekends, so he'll have 5 total days off. He has to turn in vacation time for that though or it would be unpaid.

  • I am home with my baby now, but when I did work I had only Christmas day off. Our boss usually sent us home early on Christmas eve (around lunch time) and a LOT of people used their personal time for that day. DH is a teacher so he has a half day the day before Christmas eve and doesn't go back until the new year!

  • My DH gets three weeks paid but has an outdoor job so usually cannot take a bunch during the summer. So he is off starting today thru the 2nd. I manage the office of a local contractor and things are a bit slow during the week of the holidays so I can take some days off with him. I have a hard time getting time in the summer as we take what we can and are thankful we are paid.

  • My hubby has Christmas Eve and Christmas off.

I'm a sahm now but when I was working I had to work the eve before but not Christmas.

  • I have off from the 25th to Jan 6th, but I got another job because we really can't afford for me to be off. I don't mind though I go crazy at home.

  • Dh kind of is off now, he just got laid off. But normally he has Christmas eve and day off, then new years off, but will have to work usually one day in between.

  • I'm a SAHM by choice, so I'm on duty 24/7 all year round!

However, DH finishes up on Christmas Eve and doesn't go back to work until Jan 5th. The GOOD part is that the days are all fully paid and do NOT come off his normal annual leave allowance, they are extras.
