help with vinegar infusing!!!!

i wanted to make some infused vinegar for christmas gifts. i put distilled white vinegar, fresh rosemary, pearl onions, and garlic cloves into old spaghetti sauce jars and set them in a cabinet to soak up the flavor. they have been sitting for about 5 days now. i went to check on them just now, and some of the garlic and onions have turnd a shade of green. is this mold, or is this the color from the rosemary? i thought vinegar cured veggies and herbs. if anyone can tell me what is going on, i would appreciate it. i don't want anyone to get sick.

  • when i made mine didnt change color at all... the onions stayed white, the only thing that changed was the liquid....
