How much water do you mix in with baby formula in a 4oz and 8oz bottle?????

  • 4 oz bottle, two scoops. 8oz bottle, four scoops. Basically one scoop for every two ounces of water is generally what you're supposed to use.

  • 4oz water with two scoops powder and 8 oz water with four scoops powder.... never add water to ready made formula

  • When Kayla and Kaya get old enough to take bottle I will tell you but they're only 4 days so they still breastfeed.

  • Water first, then the appropriate amount of formula, so the overall amount of mixed formula will be more than the amount of water you put in. Do NOT put formula in first and then add water to get to the specified amount--that makes it too concentrated.

  • it should tell you on the can. if it is powdered ALWAYS use the scoop that comes with it,,

  • I think most new moms want to make sure that they use 4 oz of WATER and then add powder which makes it about 4.5 ounces, rather than mixing 3.5 ounces of WATER with 2 scoops of formula. Thank you, DragonRiderMD. Your advice is right on.
