my almost 2 year old is now crying before he goes to sleep

He has always been a sleep fighter but he was doing really good until lately. He now cries for at least 10 minutes if not more before both his nap and night time. We haven't changed anything still the same routine but it seems to involve going back in 20-30 minutes later to comfort him and try again. Anyone else have this problem or a solution?????

  • You are going to have to let him cry it out. He is crying more now because he is older and understands sleep. He feels like he will be missing out on something and that is why he's giving you such a rough time.

  • My two year old does the same thing. We just let him cry it out, normally he cries himslef to sleep in a few minutes. He's just getting to the point where he knows that he is missing things. Try pushing his bed time back too, that seemed to help us. Just a half an hour made a difference because he was more tired then. Good luck!
