My washing machine won't advance to the rinse cycle

It washes, but once it reaches "rinse" it stops and just makes a buzzing sound. Anyone know what could be wrong?

  • If it is a front load, check the filter, you have to take the panel off below the door and look for the part which looks like a big screw. Turn it backwards and take it out and clean. We just did and it runs perfect now. :-)

  • might be overloaded? off balance? it could be the motor or simply the dial. our dial got stuck once and made that sound. i kicked the thing and it went back to work for me. punch the dial area. or call the repair dude.
