my dr said to only go to L&D if

i have 6 or more contractions an hr.

ive been having a lot.
this hour so far 3
last hr 5
before that 4
before that 4
then 5
.....
and before that i didnt keep track but ive been having them all day long....


what would you do??

im not full term yet. and i was having contractions already for a while.

  • It looks like your having Braxton Hicks because they don't appear to be consistant but if it makes you feel more comfotable go to L&D GL mama

  • ive already been given shots to stop the contractions and i dilated a centimeter already though.

  • I think you should definatly call or go in. It could just be dehydration. Make sure you are pushing fluids. I ended up in labor and delivery twice because of deydration, once they had to give me 2 shots to stop my contractions. But its always better to be safe than sorry! My Dr always told me if I needed peace of mind that there is no harm in going to get checked out. They will just put you on the monitor for a few hours and probably have you drink some water. If they arent steady contractions they will just send you home with strict orders to drink lots of water! Good Luck!

  • If you're not full term, and you're having contractions like that, you should DEFINITELY go! If you ARE in labor, then it's easier for them to stop the contractions early on.
