Is it tacky that at a restaurant, my SO will finish his plate, his sons plate, and my plate?

It does not bother me at all, but how do other people (like you) see it?

  • I don't pay that much attention to what other people are doing, but if I saw it I would think at least the food wasn't wasted. I wouldn't be offended or annoyed at all.

  • I wouldn't care.. if I'm hungry enough, I'll finish my son's food, LOL.. I even do it at home, really need to quit that.

  • LOL - I'm not usually paying attention to what's going on at other tables when I'm out. I'm concentrating on my OWN food!!

BUT - I wouldn't call it tacky - but if he's overeating or something or has a weight issue then maybe he should slow down??

  • I am with the others...I wouldn't notice it at another table, but if I did I wouldn't think it was tacky. I would think it was a little funny....unless it seemed to be a health issue for the guy.

  • I don't notice other people, unless we are at a buffet. I can't believe how much food people can pile on their plate. My husband and I often share a bite of our food. If he tried to take mine he would get a fork in his hand. I love taking mine home for lunch the next day.

  • At home it wouldn't bother me. As a chain or fast food resturant it wouldn't bother me either. But in a nice resturant I'd probably be so embarrassed I'd hit his hand.

  • i wouldn't worry about it unless he was making a scene about it. at least no food is waisted and he won't be hungry when you guys get home. have a merry Christmas, relax and enjoy. don't sweat the small stuff :))
