  • if a post is worth reading someone might type "bump" to bring it back to the top

  • Bump is a standard way of moving a message to the top of the pile when the member doesn't have anything to add but doesn't want the message to sink out of sight on another page. The messages on the Answers section of CafeMom don't shift as people post replies, but in the groups you'll see that a reply will bring the thread back to the top (under the stickied threads.)

  • Hi,

    When you view a group's forum, posts are listed in the order of when the last reply was added.

    When someone posts "bump" in a reply to a post, they are bringing the whole thread to the top of the group so more people will see it.
