Can you use almond bark chocolate for the center of truffles?

Everywhere is out of baking chocolate, all I could get was almond bark. Is it ok to use that for the center of my truffles?? TIA!

  • No you shouldn't. It won't have the right texture. Also if your recipe calls for baking chocolate, it is unsweetened. You can get good quality chocolate chips that have a low sugar content (like ghiardelli) and you will have better results. Look for ones that are about 62% cocoa or higher.
