My 4 year old son threw up on Sat night 2 times from then until mon at 9 pm he was fine. Mon at 9 he threw up again. Today he threw up his breakfast but has not thrown up again. His appetite has been off since sat afternoon. Is he gonna be well by Christmas??? How long can this last?

  • It could be over now, it could take a couple of weeks. I wish there was some way to know he'd be okay for Christmas...but there isn't.

Keep an eye on him. Give him water only...anything with carbonation and sugar can upset the stomach is what our pediatrician told us. Keep him on bland foods and I would start now with carbs and starches just in case he develops diarrhea. If he throws up any more between now and Christmas, honestly, I would cancel any plans involving other people just to be on the safe side. No one wants to catch a stomach virus...

I hope he's better soon!!! Here's to breakfast being the end of it!!

  • Aw, I sure hope he's well by Christmas. I'm sure you know, but just give him some chicken noodle soup and let him eat crackers and nabs. You know, things that are easy on the tummy. Sprite, tea and gatorade as well.
