What is a refried bean? Why do they have to fry it twice?

  • A refried bean is a boiled bean smooshed so the inside of the bean comes out and it's mushy. It's not really fried twice . . . you can actually make them without every even frying them once.

  • we dont fry beans twice. we put the boiled pinto beans in a pan, smash them, and fry them once.
