  • No. The amnio looks at the baby's genetic structure, and that's what determines gender.

  • It looks at DNA, genetic stuff, so I'd say if it's wrong, it's from human error. Someone read the results wrong.

  • I had an amnio done and the doctor said it is 99.6% accurate in revealing the sex of the baby. Remember, the amnio detects the chromosomes.
