  • THOSE ARE PRACTICE CONTRACTIONS, NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT JUST YOUR BODY PREPARING FOR THE BIG DAY. THEY WILL HAPPEN MORE AND PAIN WILL JOIN THEM. THEY ARE USUALLY RANDOM.

  • They are braxton hicks contractions. As long as they aren't painful or regular (they should be pretty random) and as long as you aren't spotting/bleeding or have more wetness than usual, you are fine. The more wetness warning is because sometimes your water breaks and it's just a slow leak. It's normal to have a lot of discharge, but if all of a sudden it increases, or there's more when you stand from a laying position, get to Labor & Delivery.

  • Braxton Hicks Are Very common it can be Uncomfortable this is how you can tell, if their BH!
The contractions don't get closer together
    They don't get stronger
They are usually felt only in the front
The contractions ease up with activity and are relieved with a change in position
The cervix doesn't change with contractions.

    and if they are real!
The contractions do get closer together and become more painful
    They get stronger
They start in the lower back and spread to the lower abdomen or vice versa
The contractions intensify with activity and are not relieved with a change in position
    The cervix thins and dilates.
