Is imitation crabmeat bad for you?

  • Only if fish like halibut and pollock are bad for you. It's ground fish meat. They also add salt and egg white and sometimes some real crab. I guess maybe the food coloring used for it could be bad.

  • I believe there are worse things for you... It is fish boiled with crab so it takes on the flavor and corn starch, sugar and food coloring (some use natural colors) to make it 'look' and taste more like crab meat.

  • Well there is alot of calcium in it, but i didn't see any other real nutrients,, I love it, and I hate milk,, but just was wondering about the red dye in it and so on,,, LOL,,
