  • My 1st grader loves a tuna sandwich, grapes, tomatoes, carrots, any other fresh fruit or veggie that I send. The new love around here is kale chips. He also takes peanut butter sandwiches, cheese sandwiches and cooled soy chicken nuggets.

  • Strawberry and cream cheese sandwiches. You can use any seasonal fruit sliced though. Quesadillas. Pizza roll ups (regular and fruit my kids love you can google for recipes that is how I learned about it). Thermo ready smoothies with a side of chopped fruits, carrots with dip. I add 1/2 cup oatmeal to most smoothies so they are filled and use soy milk so it is healthier (kids cant tell the difference). Salad. Fruit salad. Grilled cheese. Turkey wraps. I do alot of different things really depending on what I buy. I usually send sides of fruit or veggies instead of crackers. I send sides of yogurt or low fat pudding. Ants on a log are also always a hit.
