  • We will be going to the science museum near us one day, another day we are going to go sledding, provided there is enough snow.

We also might try snowboarding with the kids.

Other then that we are going to have a nice relaxing week.

  • museums, if you call ahead, usually have a scavenger hunt for younger visitors. They just give you the paper and you are off. Also the zoo is never a boring option, local hiking trails, and you could try in door rock climbing. You can billet while she climbs. Road trips. Have a party, invite some friends, have her make and send out invites. Then rock on. Sign up for some type of local one mile fun run. Most areas have one going on all the time. Look in your local free parent magazine for listings of events in your area. Also asking her what she would like to do. Oh, and nothing wrong with a pajama day where you get a ton of DVD's, snack food, pillows, and blankets - only get up to pee and stretch/walk around a little. Veggie days. Think outside the box. Or build a fort. Go camping in the back yard. Sure it is cold but it can be part of the fun. Plus you have the benefit of your bathroom.

  • cont...Volunteer at a local place. There are sooo many things to do and what a fun age. Set the tone, ask her advice, and then get to it. Have fun and enjoy the time off.
