Another contraction question.

Okay, so I'm due Jan. 27th, but I'm having a c-section the 13th.

Anyway, I've been having random contractions the past week or so, and they're getting much stronger, but still very far apart so my OB isn't too worried about them. The last two days though, I'm getting them so bad that the pain shoots through my legs. Did anyone else have contractions like this, is it normal? This is my first baby so I really don't know.

  • I am due Feb 3rd, and have been having them regularly, but they never amount to anything. Was atthe hosp on Christmas, and because I didn't dialate they sent me home. I am dialated to about 2...I am soft but mostly closed they said. So I too wonder. I would drink more water (I hate this advice too) lay down on your side and see what happens. If your gut says something is wrong go in, don't bother calling. If your doc doesn't believe you that;s the worst. My doc didn't believe me either till he checked me at 28 weeks..lol

  • I can tell the difference between that cause i had sciatica before I was pregnant. It's like a pain that lasts the whole time the contraction does. Bahhh, maybe I'm just dying, haha.

  • If you're in that much pain, I would go to the doctor again and get checked out. Are they very close together?

  • No, they're still really far apart. I called my OB last night, and he didn't even say anything when I told him aboutthe pain shooting in my legs. He just said if they get closer to call back.
