I am tired of cooking the same meals all the time and would like new ideas please.

When my friends and I are together we talk about different things that we put together that makes a good meal. Example dirty rice with ground sausage and link sausage. I hope this is a request that we all can use with.

  • Soft bake taco from the grocery store. Add refried beans to the baked taco, and for toppings use tomatoes, salsa, and sour cream, its delicious.

  • I love soups. We never use a whole bag of frozen veggies, so when I get a couple of open bags in there I make a big pot of soup. Add fresh ingredients like potatoes before the frozen so they keep a nice texture.
I make a kick butt pasta e fagioli soup too (giada's recipe on food network.com) Costs about 5 bucks and feeds us two solid meals and a lunch.

I keep frozen things for my hubby when I am at work like pizza lazagna and nuggets. I stock up when they are on sale.

  • Mmmmm...Adja70....sounds yummy and I will be having that this week for dinner one night! Thank you OP...getting some good ideas. Here's one of my children's faves:
    Captain Crunch Chicken Fingers
1 lg. pkg of chicken tenders, thawed
    Original Captain Crunch cereal
    a little bit of water
    cooking spray.
    Set oven to 350 degrees
Spray a 13 x 9 baking pan with cooking spray or lightly brush with oil, set aside.
Smoosh your cereal (smash it, blend it, crush it anyway you want) into fine crumbs.
Rinse your tenders in water, roll in Crunch crumbs and lay on baking sheet about an inch apart.
Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden and done in the middle. Serve with dipping sauces like ketchup, honey mustard, mustard, bbq sauce. We usually have mac 'n' cheese, a veggie and applesauce with these. The kids love them and they are really really tasty...especially cold the next day. LOL
