Tablecloth or not?

We're selling our home; we have a metal and glass kitchen table with chairs that don't exactly match; it's all from IKEA. Should I cover the table with a tablecloth or would it be wrong for staging the house?

  • I'd cover it. Make the house look as good as you can possibly get it.

  • Cover it with a neutral colored tablecloth then set a nice floral centerpiece or nice large, preferably vanilla scented candle on it. Make sure you light the candle before any viewings as the scent will add a homeyness to your house plus men tend to react very positively to that one.

  • I would cover it with something that matched with the chairs, Dollar General has cheap ones that look nice but you won't have to worry so much about budget.

  • If you are going to cover the table get a nice fabric table cloth and make sure that it is the right size for your table. Then do what redfairy said.

  • I would buy matching slipcovers for the chairs so they look uniform, leave the table uncovered to make the room look spacious, and place a tall floral arrangement in the center to give the feeling of height in the room.
