Anyone get a root canal while pregnant?

If so when? How far along were?

  • Best to do dental work in second trimester if necessary. This is because of the anes. they need to use and they will use a different kind of anes. probably without epinephrine. But you can safely have RCT and x-rays during second trimester of pregnancy. No major dental work should be done after 32 wks. Our office just did a successful root canal on a patient in her second trimester. I am not positive on the weeks.
