  • My kids only have one set of living grandparents and they call them Nana and Papaw. That started with the first grandkid because he couldn't say grandma and grandpa, and all the other grandkids just called them the same thing.

  • They call my mom Nana. She thought that sounded younger than grandma. Didn't have the heart to remind her that's what we called our great grandma!

    They call my dad Papa.

My in-laws are Grandma and Grandpa.

  • I grew up calling my grandparents Grammy and Grampy.
My husband has a Nannie, Pop, and a Grandaddy.
We have a first grandchild on the way and we have decided that she will call me Grammy and him Pop. We'll be carrying on family traditions.

  • My grandchildren call me "Nanny." The oldest started out trying to say "Granny" which came out "Nanny." It stuck, and it is now what they all call me.
