bottled water?

is bottled water necessary for thinning homemade baby food or is tap okay? my LO is 5 months... is boiling tap water okay?

  • Tap is preferred by most pediatricians because of the fluoride in it for their developing teeth. I know mine said we didn't have to boil it (because it's already clean water), but if you feel that it's better to do it, then go ahead. If you don't want to use tap, then use the Nursery water. They sell it at just about any grocery store in the bottled water section. It has the added fluoride that your baby needs.

  • I use formula.. it adds nutritional value to the cereal and DD eats it better with formula than water.

  • Also for the nursery water, IT IS NOT STERILIZED. It still needs to be boiled.
