The lost art of...

Keeping yo' damn mouth shut.

(aka keeping your thoughts quiet so, you don't make yourself look bad)

Is there anyone left with this ability? And, why does it seem like only older adults seem to have a gasp of this concept?

And, no I'm not bashing CM.  I actually like it here. ;)  I mainly mean in real life!

  • lol oh you discretion is an art. Y'know I believe I have heard that somewhere before lol.

Or if you can't say something nice, don;t say anything at all.

Or keep your words sweet, you may have to eat them someday.

Okay I think I am done

  • I am all for filtering thoughts, but socialisation is pretty boring when the people gathered together don't talk. I think it's best to avoid major drama or the hot-button issues, unless with people you are pretty close to and trust.

In my life, I am bad at jumping into conversations (shy and slow) so I often don't talk in social situations and don't make a lot of friends, brighten a lot of lives, or contribute anything that way.

It's all in moderation. And I totally believe many of us (and I include myself) need to work on that concept!
