  • Actually Plan B stops the egg from releasing. It will NOT cause an abortion or miscarriage... and it WILL NOT harm a fetus. By delaying your egg from releasing it has a chance of preventing pregnancy. There is a very small window that fertilization can occur. Its 85% effective because in some cases the egg has already released.   http://health.howstuffworks.com/morning-after.htm

  • yes but you must do it with in 72hours after having sex. its just two little pills you take one in the morning and the other one 12hours later. No big deal all it does is kill the sperm.

  • nope and i never would either. i've heard it can cause a person to bleed to death and i've been told it can cause problems later in life when trying to get pregnant. whether the last part is true or not i don't know but i know i would never risk that.

  • I don't think you have much to worry about. Just talk to your doctor about your concerns. Everyone will respond differently to medicines, what is good for one may not be the same for the person next to you. Good luck!

  • No, but if you're ALREADY pregnant, it won't terminate a pregnancy or cause birth defects. I asked my OB about it. It can't cause you to bleed to death, it will just jump start your period. Just like if you take birth control and you miss a pill, you'll start your period if you dont take it in time.

Plan B is different from what you are thinking RUD40 (medication used for early term abortion). Plan B is a mega dose of birth control that stops the egg from implanting into the uteran wall.
