  • my doctor said 6 months and they'll be fine. I give my son a variety and he seems to be ok. (he'll be 6 months jan. 2nd)

  • Yes. Just wait a few days to see if your Lo has a reaction before moving onto something else.

  • As with any new foods...give one a few days before adding a new food. If the baby has already had it a few days and hasn't had a reaction, give it a try!

Just an FYI...I have one son who could only eat rice (the others gave him major stomach aches) and the other two could only eat oatmeal. (same reason)

They are now 4, 3 and 2...and can eat just about anything!

  • I heard the rice cereal was the only one with much nutritional value, so that's the only one I give my daughter.

  • I gave my guy a few weeks with the rice, then started the oatmeal. It did not go over as well as the rice, but can you blame him? Even just the smell is extremely different, I can't imagine what his little buds are tasting! :D

  • I have a box of both in my pantry. I just read the nutritional value and Rice and Oatmeal are almost identical except that oatmeal has a bit more protein in it than rice. So unless there's hidden words I can't read I don't think you need to worry about which is more nutritious.
