What size shoe would a one year old little girl TYPICALLY wear?

I know every kid is different, but if you had to guess what size shoe a 16-18 month old little girl would wear, what would you say?

  • Do you know who much she weighs? That sometimes helps with shoe sizes. My ds is 9months and wears a 4.

  • Even typical kids vary quite a lot. My son wore about a three or a four when he was one, but my sister's daughter wore a 5. There's really a lot of room for "typical". I know these kinds of answers are frustrating, because it would be super nice to just walk into the store and grab a pair, but you'll have to try a bunch on her and see what fits. Good luck!

  • My 13 month old wears a 2, but she's tiny. I would guess a 4 would be more common.

  • Usually by age one they wear a 4. By 18 months it is more likely about 5 or 6.
My 14 month old granddaughter wears a 5. She is average in height and weight .

  • At age 18 months, Little One was in about a size five, depending on the shoe brand. I'd bring her to a shoe store with you and see if you can get a fitting. If not, just pick a size you think would work and go from there. :)
