Prayer---Dont you think.........

I know prayer can be a way for people to find answers--let that be a simple answer to a simple question (such as which job should i take)--or a more complex answer to a complex way of life so to speak--and everyone seems to find their own ways that "god" answers those questions--let that be through a scripture they later read, a song they hear, a person, etc, etc--therefore, in there minds--"god" answered that question---i guess what i am wondering and my question is---can't someone take a song, scripture, a person, etc and make into whatever answer they want anyways--so in reality is it "god" answering your prayers are is it you answering your own prayer and believing it is "god"???

dont get me wrong here though--i do believe in prayer--just a question i am throwing out there.

  • God puts answers on your heart and you "find" them in everyday things. Thats just his little way. You have to trust and believe in him to get the answered.

  • yes a person could do that but when god is leading you can tell. maybe that scripture you read you have read 100s of times but suddenly you see it in a different way.

  • situations like this make up faith. in my life the answers i find are too forward for me to have made the answer what i wanted. and sometimes the answer isnt what i wanted, but somehow it works out.

  • If it is God the answer will also line up to the Bible. If it ever goes against scripture then it isn't God.

  • I think it's more a higher power, (God if you are christian)... you have a set way of life when you are born, and you choose your own paths.... some of them however may be guided to teach us what we need to learn.

  • God definetly answers prayer. He will use anyone or anything, or sometimes he may a still small voice or even an autobile voice. Whatever method he chooses, he does answer.
