  • HAVE YOU TRIED APPLYING TO WIC? They cover formula and food for babies and milk.. if you don't have time, maybe you can put milk with baby water?

  • I have a friend that did this because she didn't see a point in switching from bf to formula for a couple months. Her son did fine as far as I know. But there are reasons they tell you to wait... And I do think they have some difficulties digesting it until they are a bit older. Goat's milk is closer to human's and much easier on their tummies. Have you checked into WIC? You can usually get formula that day... Or is there someone you can borrow from until a more convenient time?

  • I would not give her whole milk if she is not used to it, it is not an adequate form of nutrition. She really needs formula. I would contact your local health department or some other organization, even a local church.

  • You could ... you shouldn't but you could . Doctors used to switch babies that soon .
Can't you ask family , friend, neighbour for a few dollars to tide you over until payday? Or use WIC or the food bank?

  • No, you cannot. That can set her up for some serious digestive problems. If there are any church groups in your area, you may be able to get your hands on some formula.

  • How about soft solid foods, like mash potatoes, applesauce, something lite but filling. If you are out of money, do what you need to do,like giving her whole milk.. If you have to call a church or something, they will help or tell you how.

  • It is too early to give your baby milk. You need to call WIC and ask them if there's any way you can get some help or if they can direct you to somewhere that can help you get an emergency can of formula!

  • Not the best solution. Try a food bank. Post on freecycle that you are in need, or even craigslist. Call a church. Call WIC. These people are not going to let a baby starve.

  • Yes, you can give her whole milk if there is nothing else. Its 6:00p.m and most government agencies are closed, so it really depends on where you are.
