The head supporters for carseats...

Does anyone know where to find one that doesn't go all the way behind the baby. The fire dept said that the ones that sit completely behind the child aren't crash tested and void the warranty on the carseat. there's supposedly ones that velcro on around the head. But I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know? Or did anyone use an alternative method to keep they're newborns head from tilting to the side in the carseat?

  • Our carseat is a convertable carseat so it doesn't have the head supporter.

Baby Depot is the one in Burlington Coat factory right?
I didn't even think about recieving blankets. lol.

Is it just the Eddie Bauer headrest or the whole carseat?

  • I haven't heard of the velcro ones. We used rolled up recieving blankets for a while until I found one that i liked and would fit my LO. We bought a carseat that came with one--but it was to big in the beginning.

  • Just use rolled receiving blankets. Any thing that goes behind the baby or comes in contact with the harness that did not come with the seat is a potential safety hazard.
