How long does it take to go into labor after the membranes are stripped?

Please inform me on this

  • it could be hours or a couple of weeks, it doesn't always work.

  • This is a myth that you would htink doctors would catch onto. Stripping the membranes and every other "natural" form of induction ONLY works if the baby is ready and no one can know if the baby is ready but the baby. Inductions are just plain stupid unless the baby or mothers life is in immediate danger.

  • As navy-wife says, it will only work if the baby is ready. It could be right away, it could be days, it might not work to induce labor at all.

  • the stripper my membranes && i didnt go into labor for 2 wks (it didn't work) it just hurt to have it done. Thats all. Good luck

  • It didn't work for my friend and she opted for a c-section. She said it really hurts.
