Bad smell...kinda gross

So, I am kind of embarrassed to say that I have a bad smell coming from my vagina. It has been 4 weeks tomorrow since I delivered vaginally. I don't know if I would go as far as saying it smells fishy, but it's not good. There's also a little discharge that's tinted light brown. Is this normal? I don't have my pp appointment until Jan. 21st.

  • i think its just your body getting cleared out,,..espeaciallly since you delivered vaginally,..and you say you have brown tinted mucous so more than likely youre just getting cleared out ..and no it wouldnt smell like roses!

  • Asker~-----------------no I haven't used any tampons, only pads. We have had sex a couple times, could that give me an infection?

  • Okay...I've never said this but after I gave birth it smelled bad after the bleeding decreased.
    I think it's normal.

  • Probably just the normal healing process…but don’t wait ‘til Jan. 12 because you could have an infection. Seriously, call your dr., describe your symptoms and see if they want you to come in sooner.

  • I think that you should call your doctor and make an earlier appointment. You can also call and talk to the nurse and explain your concern.
