Should I play jazz during a house showing? (selling)

We're listing our house for sale this weekend. Should we play some kind of jazz or other music when it's being shown? Like something like Madeleine Peyroux or does anyone have any suggestions?

  • No music...but if you have a potpourri pot put some apple cider and cinnom sticks in it. Buyers are more responsive to homes with comforting food smells. Fresh flowers, fruit and candles all go a long way too. Be sure top choose cangles w/o scents and flowers that have little scent to accomdate those with allergies.

  • Skip the music and the smells.

  • i wouldn't play music. music evokes different feelings in different people. some may not like jazz, and it could be as much a turn-off as say, bright green walls in the living room.
