Do babies who are riding on their parent's lap during a flight get two checked bags as well

we are flying united airlines tomorrow afternoon, and i just really need this question answered .. haha she's 3 mo old and her first time on a plane let a lone the first time she's went on a trip..shes my first, and im worried.

  • No. It's per seat, not per passenger.
    I also suggest you look into a harness for your baby...
    If there is any turbulance, you will not be able to hold onto your baby with your hands alone.

  • No, it's per seat, mot per person. Check your airline's website for their specific information, it varies from company to company!

  • One thing to note is that if the flight isnt full, they will let you put her in a seat, so make sure that you have her car seat/stroller. You can check the stroller at the gate and ask if the flight is full to know if you can bring the car seat on the plane. When I took daughter on flight, she was able to sit in car seat both ways and her diaper bag was not counted against me as a carry on.
