Do you spend New Year's Eve with your kids?

When I was growing up we spent every New Year's Eve at my Grandmother's house with our cousin. I think it's a fun way for grandparents to enjoy New Year's and gives the parents a nice night off. Our son is only 5 months old so we don't have a tradition for this but I am thinking we'll do the same as my parents did. Do you spend New Year's with your kids, get a sitter, or leave them with their Grandparents?

  • Well New Year's Eve is also my anniversary so we do like to go out & celebrate that. My son is baby sitting the little ones. We did stay home in 2006 because our youngest was still pretty new.

  • This will be my first new year ever with my daughter. She's a newborn and her dad has to work tonight, so we'll be ringing in the new year together :o]

I did various things over the years. Sometimes I went to my friends' houses for New Year's, sometimes I was with my parents, and last year I celebrated with my boyfriend's family. Fun fun fun ^-^

  • We are spending New Years with both our families and extended families and a few friends. I think that is what starting the new year is about , being with the people you love.
