  • Some babies never really crawl. They go straight to cruising and then walking.

  • My DD is 6mos and just getting the hang of sitting up. She still can't do it for more than a few seconds.

  • Perfectly normal. My granddaughter never crawled. She got where she wanted just fine by scooting or rolling. LOL. She runs and walks these days.

  • Yup. My son skipped crawling and started walking at 9 months old.

  • My daughter never crawled.... She was a scooter. She went straight from scooting on her booty to walking. She occasionally pretends that she's crawling and will say things like," Mommy, look, I'm crawling llike when I was a baby." I always remind her that she was a scooter.... That makes her laugh.

  • I'm sorry to break it to you...but you have a normal kid. LOL I was worried also, my now 2 year old crawled at 6 months, and my almost 10 month old didn't crawl until 9 months and she's been taking a few steps now. Like some of the other mom's said, your baby might even skip crawling.

  • Yes every baby is different and you will realize that sooner or later.

  • My son didn't crawl until he was 11 months old. The doctor wasn't worried at all; he said that the important thing developmentally at the 9 month point was that he was getting around somehow, whether by walking, crawling, army crawling, scooting, rolling (my son), whatever.
