  • I call my and dad. BUT my son's best friend calls his parents by their first name. He said he has always called them that since he can remember. His mom didn't want to be called anything other than her first name.

  • I call mine mom most of the time, unless I'm trying to get her attention, then I use her first name. After 3 kids, the oldest being 43, she's learned to tune out the word Mom pretty well lol. I call my stepdad by his first name, but I refer to him as my dad when I'm speaking to others about him.

  • If I'm calling to my mom and she doesn't answer to "Mom" I will call her "Sis" (which is what her whole family calls her) or by her given name but only to get her attention.

  • I call my mom by her first name sometimes, but it's only in a joking way. Most times I address her as Mama.
