  • Sorry, I don't use either one. I use Alpha Omega products.

  • I never used the whole program of either. I liked ABEKA early science. If I had to pick, I would probably go with ABEKA just from what I have seen. I used many different programs throughout our years. I do like Shurley Grammar and Saxon Math.

  • Abeka is good for the younger grades, but as they get older there are other programs that are better. My kids used Abeka for a long time in christian school and I did as well when I was their age. I also worked with some homeschool kids in our church and they all used Alpha Omega. I felt their stuff was too easy for my kids. I only know a little about Bob Jones. Theres so much out there to choose from. I wouldn't limit yourself to just these two.

  • I have used both, and although I prefer BJ for younger grades over Abeka, I do not care much for either of them now and don't use them anymore. I personally feel that Abeka (at least for younger grades) tries to teach too much, too fast, and ends up confusing the kids. BJ, on the other hand, does not have as much review as I'd like. We have used Saxon, which is ok, and are now using Sunrise workbooks for math. They teach math with the same spiral method as Saxon, but are more kid friendly and interesting.
