Did you read the Secret ?

Good question. Not really. I do know that it works, but as a Christian I am a little torn about focusing all my energy on things I want. I think that's a good way to get depressed. Also, I believe that everything we have comes from God, not ourselves "manifesting" them. But to answer your ?, I haven't really seen other people use it and get results. Don't you think we'd all be rich if it were that easy? haha! Can't wait to see more answers;)

My MIL gave me the book but I haven't read it.

It seems too good to be true.

I would like to hear what others thought of it.

I have read it, totally believe in focusing your energy on good if you want good to come to you. However, wasn't a fan of the book. The particular method was a bit out there. lol For instance, there was a part talking about if you want a particular home. You should focus all of your energy like that home is already yours. Going as far as driving by it on your way home and maybe even pulling into the driveway. So... great concept, wrong practice. I guess that's what I would narrow my opinion down to. :)

I did, but good things come to me for other reasons, positive thinking is always good though.....

Never read it, never knew anyone irl who did read it and those who I know online who read it didnt see anything from it.

I think my sister may have read it but I have no idea what, if anything has changed. I know she hasn't had a raise in like 5 years and that the lawyers she works for are still refusing to increase her mileage money (still about .20 below the federal rate) even though gas prices have stayed above $3.00.

HOWEVER, as a witch, I DO believe in focusing your energies (spells) onto something and I HAVE had spells work.

I started to read it. Got about halfway through and stopped. It was a little out there for me. However, I do strongly believe that you get back what you put out there. So, if you put out positive energy, you will eventually receive positive things in return. Same thing with the negative. I'm not sure that's much of a secret though... that's just common sense.

I haven't read the Secret. However I have seen the film and have read other books on the topic of the Law Of Attraction. I am a huge believer in and fan of the LOA! However, I have yet to train myself to think positively, I try, but I'm not there yet. That said, I have a good friend who has used her faith in the LOA to change her life 100%! When we met 3 years ago, she was an unemployed mother of two who was completely depended on her abusive boyfriend. Today she has tossed him and is earning a multi-six figure income all while being home with her kids... She's actually the one that introduced me to it.

Yes I read it. There were some good points in it and you find common ground with a lot of other faith systems. I firmly believe in the law of attraction but also in reasoning
