  • At 6 mths. my dd was saying things like dada and mama,but no actual words.

  • Not really, they may say mama dada but they don't really know the meaning of it yet. Don't worry and don't compare.

  • Talking as in babbling, yes. Talking as in actual words? I don't think so at that age, but there might be some babies who have babbled sounds that sound like words. I don't know.

  • Just babbling at this age...playing with their tongue and lips to make different sounds. simple words...ball, mommy, daddy, up, down, etc...start around 12 months.

  • No they dont talk at that age. They might babble things that sound like words but it actually takes awhile for them to get any sort of vocabulary going. Right now they are just playing with their tongue, realizing it is making noises, and possibly saying momma or dada. They dont generally start talking until they are around 1- 1.5 yrs old and even then its pretty limited but they can say words and put a couple together sometimes.
