Subway & Pregnant?

What is OK for a pregnant momma to eat at subway?

I know we are not to eat cold lunch meats because of the risk of listeriosis.

  • My Dr said as long as you have them toast it that you can have it, but it has to be completely hot. I ate subway with all 4 pregnancies but with this last one I have stayed away after reading about listeria. Especially with the listeria outbreak with Rocky Ford melons knowing what it can do to mom and baby.

  • i've heard ob-gyn's say that as long as you aren't eating deli meats at every meal for 9 months, it's probably okay once in awhile.

  • I always had my subs toasted and when I got home I would reheat them again before eating.

  • I cant eat the meatball sub.. It is very yummy, but after 2 bites its too mushy. *gag*... That is what my hubby gets & I always steal the first bite ;-)

I will have to try the chicken...
Ive had the tuna twice... :-/ I figured the only scare there was mercury & i dont eat that much fish weekly so I should be pretty safe? But tonight the tuna just gave me a eehhh type feeling when I looked at it in the container.

  • All I ate without puking was turkey subs from subway, and I'm fine.
