Do They Numb Your Hand Before Pins And Screws Removal?

i had finger surgery and they put me some pins and screws..i was wondering if they put some anesthesia on the hand first..and how long u had to wait for them to me removed...my surgery was dec.29

  • I have no idea. I had one pin and 4 screws put in my ankle at 15 and 31 years later they are still there.

  • I had pins in my wrist...(they stuck out a little bit and were an "L" shape).... they did not numb it before they took them out. The doctor just pulled them out with pliers. It didnt really hurt too bad. And I waited about 7 weeks before they were taken out.

    It may be different for a finger though, or if your pins are different.
