If you homeschool do you have your kids do homework?

  • No, because our lessons advance so slowly. If he's having trouble we just spend more time on the sections he's struggling with. I do have him do independent seat work when I can. Not every lesson is that hands off.

  • we do weekly assignments that are outside of the lesson.

    This last weeks was to make a bar graph of the kids he knows, favorite fruit. He is 7 so something he can handle.

    Next week he has to memories music notes. I have a feeling it will lasat 2 weeks but he might be quick and learn this week, who knows.

  • he get's projects to do on his own time... but aside from that i see no reason to make him do extra school work. LoL

  • No, we don't do homework. Don't need to. Everything gets explained in great detail the first time around and then DD works on her stuff. No problem. We do her full curriculum in 3 hours.
