  • Have you opened the stove and left it open for a bit? We have one and sometimes we have to open it and let the heat come out that way. Ifyou have a screen you can put it in front and it should heat up. It can also depend on the wood you use. If you mix wood it usually runs alot hotter.

  • What kind of wood Stove it is! Newer? Air Tight? Quality? Do you have A Dirty Chimney? A Restricted Flue Air Flow? Its important to be cleaned & checked!! Do you have Fire Brick inside? Restricted Air flow & it wouldn't get up to Temp. For its Clogged! You have to clean it Thoroughly... Of course it has to all go out!! They must be Cleaned Frequently... Ash build up is Bad!! You need A Good Steel Ash pan & all Ash to go outside & be burned out! Never Ever leave that Ash pan in the Garage or near anything to ignite A Fire!!! Even Ash that Sems out could reignite! Also your wood has to be dry & cured... Green wood doesn't burn Well! Neither does pine!! It just Smokes more & doesn't Give good Clean Hot Fire like Seasoned Oak & other Hard woods & birch for Example or Maple!! If you got your Stove from any Business Call & ask them what they suggest!! We have A Lopi Liberty!! I wish you Luck & Safe Desired Warm Safe Heat!!

  • the wood your using may be wet, damp, or green. I have found with my wood burner that when wood is not seasoned well it doesn't put out a good hot heat. also you could try using a ceiling fan to circulate the warm air from high and bring it to the floor more, fan should be on slow.
