What's the recommended amount of calories for a woman a day?

Trying to get myself started. Thanks in advance.

  • for a healthy diet you should be taking in 1500-2000 a day. and about 40 grams of fat. and 30-35 if youre trying to lose weight.

  • 1800-2000 daily for average weight women (women who aren't underweight or obese). 300 more if you're pregnant, and 300 more that THAT if you are nursing.

  • It depends on how much you weigh if your 150 and you want to stay that way I've heard that 1500 is what you should be taking and if you want to lose weight you should drop the calories by a 100 or 2 or add in exercise, same thing if your 170 it's 1700 calories. That's what my dietitian says.

  • If you are trying to lose weight then do about 1500 QUALITY calories...that means at least 75-100 mgs of protein daily, so you have to have it in every meal. But your body won't use it as well unless you are excersising on a program that includes some light to moderate weight training.
