Car Seat Question??

I'm pregnant. Yay.

What infant car seats do you recommend buying for my new baby? I would like to keep it under $150. Thanks.

  • Graco is a good brand, usually runs about... say 80$ for a REALLY good one. They're super durable. But it's all in your preference hun. Goodluck!

  • One piece of advice, stay away from the 3 in 1 seats, ones that convert from infant to toddler to booster.

  • First I would recommend not getting the infant carriers that remove from the car if budget is an issue. They outgrow those very quickly and you will need to buy a convertible seat (rear or forward facing) after that any way so just go with the convertible to begin with. I like the Evenflo brand for convertibles. As someone else mentioned stay away from the 3 in 1 convertibles. Only because they are not very good for wee little ones and car seats expire and usually they have or are close to expiring when it comes time to be used as a booster.

  • I like pegperago however I would get one that turns into a regular carseat after a year because if not you will be buying another one in a year.

  • I had a chicco and it was a great seat but the fabric doesnt breathe well so your baby sweats terribly. I now have a Britax chaperone and it is very nice, I love it and it is one of the safest. Graco is cheap!

  • The safety first onboard air 35 is supposed to be a good seat as well and might be within your budget.
