had a baby in june 08 can I claim him on 08 taxs?

  • Yes you can. I had my baby June 07 and claimed him last year.

  • You sure can! As long as you provide more than half of the baby's support and have done so for at LEAST half of the year (which it sounds like you have) then you will be able to!

  • Yes. My daughter was born 12/31/07 and we were able to claim her for '07!

  • Let me add on to my answer...what I said does not apply to a NEW baby. Silver is right...as long as the child is born in that year...you may claim them. My daughter was born in November of 07' and I claimed her for 07'

  • As long as the baby is born before new years of the next year you can claim them. My sister just had her baby on the 31st of dec lucky lil brat! haha
