Are you working outside the home?
When I was pregnant I had a job really liked and made a decent salary. I took three months maternity leave, but after just a few months with my baby, I knew I didn't want to leave her that soon. I was lucky because my husband made enough to pay the rent for a while. My friend B., on the other hand, ended her maternity leave sooner than she planned because she was itching to get out of the house and do something other than "change diapers all day."
Some women don't have a choice: They'd like to be stay at home moms, but they have to go back to work for financial reasons.
How about you? Have you gone back to work yet? Did you go back sooner than you would have liked?

I'm depressed about going back to work, but I don't have much of a choice. My daugher is 2 months old now.
My husband hurt his back and couldn't work so I went back to work about 10 days after a c-section birth. Luckily at the time, I Cleaned homes so I was abel to bring her with me. I'd say I did that until she was 3, then I put her in daycare so she could have fun and get ready for Kindergarden. She's 21 now and I really miss those days.
I couldn't go back, I would have felt horrible and stressed. My dd was born 5 weeks early and I didn't want daycare taking care of her while I worked all day and never got to bond.
i just started a part time job 2 weeks ago...it was super hard at first i cried on my breaks i missed her so much. Luckily my mom and my fiances mom both helped watch her so i felt better knowing she was safe. On the other hand though, it does feel good to get out of the house for a couple hrs each day..
I had no choice. I had to go back to work after 6 weeks unpaid leave. Good thing I did, because about 2 weeks after I returned to work, my husband had gotten laid off.
i enjoyed working. i also enjoyed going to school and i always planned on acquiring my master's degree.
when we found out i was pregnant, though, there was never a second thought about whether or not i would stay home with my baby. we've had to sacrifice quite a bit so that i can continue to stay home but for us, it's worth it.
I went back when my son was 5 weeks old. My FIL lived with us and watch him, so that made it alot easier.
With my first I went back to work after 8wks. I wanted to stay home but I was the insurance carrier at the time and had to go back. With my second I was fortunate enough that my hubby got a great job with great benefits. So I got to stay home! It was very hard at first figuring out how I wagoing to stay sane at home with no adult contact etc, but luckily I found ECFE and met some people. Now I love being home!!!!! I wouldn't trade it for the world. I do plan on working at least part time once the boys go to school.

i worked until that monday and my son was born on a wed! I went back to work only two weeks after becasue of finances. it was so hard! but when i got laid off of my job- at that time my SO made enough money to allow me to stay at home. and so i did. i stayed home for 6 months before i had to work again and then i lost my job for the second time and now i'm a stay at home mommy again and I LOVE IT! it is so much easier for me. i don't have to stress about doing two jobs at once! :-D

I like working. I have a part-time job that I really enjoy & then when I get home I'm ready to be "mommy" again.
